KINGSTON WHIG-STANDARD WOMEN IN BUSINESS LUNCHEON

"Renowned entrepreneur to speak at luncheon", the title of Kingston Whig-Standard's newspaper reads. Always happy to return to Kingston and Queens, where she recently worked with students involved in the Queen’s-Cornell Americas Executive MBA program. Janice was asked to speak about the different challenges that face women entrepreneurs. The annual luncheon is attended by many local women entrepreneurs, professionals and experts in their field from the Kingston area. Janice was invited to speak to a roomful of students, teachers and faculty. She gave a dream-inspiring speech on the theme "The Future Is Built on Great Ideas" - emphasizing that having a great idea is one thing, but being able to share them with the world is another. "Ideas are the fuel, but the ignition is being able to communicate those ideas", says Janice. Leading by example, she urged the audience to their great ideas, put them out there, create momentum, build a strong network, and just go for it.

AFP Foundation for Philanthropy - Canada: Diversity to Inclusion Series

Janice was asked to represent female philanthropists in the community at the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ ‘The Women and Philanthropy Conference’. She joined a group of panelists to reveal their motivations for giving and provide insights into their relationships with charitable organizations. This education, training and networking conference was open for Ontario-based nonprofit leaders, fundraisers, volunteers and donors.
